This post will highlight the next stage of this new construction. After creating the Blank Canvas and Raising the Foundation, it was time to start building the actual house.

One of the first things we had to do was install a steel beam to support a wide opening between the great room and family room.

The next three photos show the progress of construction for the next three months.

One week into framing.

Two weeks later, framing is complete and you can start to see the shape of the house.

Two months later, the house is “dried-in”, meaning the exterior sheathing, roof, and windows are in place. As you can see, we’ve already started installing the brick and siding, which will ultimately cover the exterior of the house. More to come…
